What Google User Data We Access: If you choose to connect your Google account, our application will access the following data:
Google Calendar: We request access to your Google Calendar to view, create, edit, and delete calendar events. This access is limited to events created by or for the Behravan application (i.e., your therapy sessions) and to view your free/busy times for the sole purpose of preventing scheduling conflicts.
Google Meet: We access the Google Meet API to generate unique Google Meet video conferencing links for your scheduled sessions.
How We Use Your Google User Data: Our application uses this data solely to provide and improve our scheduling-related features. The specific uses are:
To Schedule Sessions: To allow you and your therapist to find mutual availability and book appointments directly on your Google Calendar.
To Create Video Links: To automatically generate and attach a secure Google Meet link to your calendar event for your virtual therapy session.
To Send Reminders: To use the calendar event data to send you notifications and reminders about your upcoming appointments.
Behravan’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How We Store and Share Your Google User Data:
No Unnecessary Storage: We do not store your Google Calendar or Google Meet data on our servers, except for the event details (like time, date, and Meet link) necessary to manage your appointment within the Behravan platform.
No Sharing or Transfer: We do not share, transfer, or disclose your Google user data to any third parties, other than:
With your therapist on the Behravan platform for the purpose of your session.
As necessary to comply with applicable laws or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with user consent.
Prohibited Uses of Google User Data: We will never use your Google user data for any of the following:
Serving you advertisements.
Selling your data to third parties, such as data brokers or information resellers.
Determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
Developing, improving, or training generalized AI or machine learning models.

By using the Behravan platform, users acknowledge and confirm that they are voluntarily choosing to engage in counselling or psychotherapy services. Users understand that participation in counselling is based on their own personal choice and readiness, and that they may discontinue services at any time.
No guarantees, promises, or assurances regarding therapeutic outcomes, improvement, diagnosis, or results are made by Behravan.
Behravan is not a provider of medical care, psychiatric treatment, crisis intervention, or emergency services.
The platform is not intended for use in situations involving immediate danger, suicidal ideation, self harm, abuse, medical emergencies, or any condition requiring urgent intervention. Users agree that Behravan shall not be used as a substitute for emergency services, hospital care, or public healthcare resources.
All therapists available through the Behravan platform are independent professionals and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Behravan.
Behravan does not supervise, direct, control, or evaluate therapists’ clinical methods, therapeutic approaches, diagnoses, or professional judgment. Any counselling or therapeutic relationship exists solely between the user and the selected therapist.
Behravan acts only as a technology platform that facilitates connection, scheduling, and communication.
Users acknowledge that counselling and psychotherapy may involve emotional discomfort, distress, or discussion of sensitive personal matters.
By using the platform, users voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in counselling, including emotional, psychological, or personal consequences. Users accept full responsibility for their decisions, actions, and life choices made before, during, or after counselling sessions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, users waive, release, and hold harmless Behravan Consulting INC, its founders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to use of the platform, participation in counselling services, interactions with therapists, or reliance on any information provided during sessions.
Behravan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including emotional distress or mental health outcomes.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, Behravan’s total liability shall be limited to the lesser of the amount paid by the user to the platform in the preceding twelve months or one hundred Canadian dollars.
Behravan is not an emergency or crisis response service. If you are experiencing an emergency, immediate danger, or risk of harm to yourself or others, do not use this platform.

If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, emotional crisis, or severe distress, contact the Suicide Crisis Helpline by calling or texting 988, available 24 hours a day across Canada, including British Columbia.
If you are outside Canada, contact local emergency services or a local crisis hotline.
Users acknowledge that Behravan does not monitor users in real time and cannot provide immediate intervention. Responsibility for seeking emergency or crisis assistance rests solely with the user.
This policy and all matters arising from use of the Behravan platform shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Canada and the Province of British Columbia.
Users agree that any disputes or legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
Users acknowledge that therapists available through the Behravan platform are independent professionals who are licensed, registered, or otherwise authorized to practice in the province, state, or country in which they are located or legally permitted to provide services.
Each therapist is solely responsible for maintaining their professional registration or licensing status and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, and professional requirements in their jurisdiction.
Behravan does not supervise, direct, or control therapists’ clinical methods, therapeutic approaches, diagnoses, or professional judgment, and does not assume responsibility for therapists’ compliance with jurisdiction specific regulatory or legal obligations.
Any counselling or therapeutic relationship exists solely between the user and the therapist chosen by the user. Behravan acts only as a technology platform and bears no responsibility for therapists’ professional conduct, scope of practice, or regulatory compliance.
Users acknowledge that therapists may be legally required, under Canadian or British Columbia law, to disclose information without user consent in certain circumstances, including situations involving risk of serious harm, abuse, neglect, or court orders.
Such disclosures are the responsibility of the therapist and are made in good faith to comply with legal obligations. Behravan shall not be liable for such disclosures.
Confidentiality is a fundamental part of counselling services, but it is not absolute.
Users acknowledge that confidentiality may be broken without consent when required or permitted by law, including but not limited to:
Situations involving suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts, or risk of self harm.
Suspected or disclosed abuse or neglect of a child.
Credible threats of serious harm or violence toward another person.
Suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of an elderly person or other vulnerable adult.
Court orders, subpoenas, or other lawful demands.
Responsibility for such disclosures rests with the therapist in accordance with applicable legal and professional obligations.
Counselling services accessed through the platform do not replace services provided by the Canadian public healthcare system, including diagnosis, hospitalization, or medical treatment.
Behravan does not provide diagnoses, prescriptions, or regulated medical assessments.
If any provision of this policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
All sections relating to consent, liability limitation, jurisdiction, confidentiality, and emergency disclaimers shall survive termination or discontinuation of platform use.
